I'd like to thank everyone for their kind replies. I wish I had time to thank everyone personally but I probably won't have the time very soon. It's unthinkable to lose a child under any circumstances. I'm grateful that Danielle passed quietly in her sleep. I imagine that's a comfort not afforded to many parent.

I hate to even post on things like this, because it opens old wounds for me . I am very sorry for your loss and the pain you and your family has to endure . Just try to take care of yourself. Even though the pain and hurt will somewhat always be there, you will cross a point where your memories will be warm softer memories of your time together and will not hurt as much .
Its been 8 years I believe since I lost my daughter , and some days , I still feel some sadness, but most of my thoughts and memories of her, and my wife are now the more positive ones of good times past .
Some one once told me that grief is like carrying around a backpack full of bricks . That backpack will now be with you for life, but you will remove bricks one at a time at your own pace, until the weight becomes bearable again .
She was beautiful . God bless you man. Hang in there . My heart feels the weight you are carrying
