Intelligence was always at the top of the list for me. My first wife had three bachelor degrees, two masters, and a pHd, spoke five languages, etc, etc. We went separate ways after a while. My current wife of many years is intelligent, educated, artistic, and motivated. Can't ask for any better. Good looking too.

I find the smart ones are always a pain in the arse .
My wife was super smart. I always admired her wit and sarcasm. She was def smarter than I . I remember it being one of the things that attracted me to her in the beginning. My long term gf before her was super attractive, but a dimwhit . It got old

I've always dated "chic geek" girls. Smart, have a well paid job (me paying for everything gets tedious after a while) tall slim athletic type build - a polite way of saying no big arse & droopy tits. And this tends to keep the opposition away as they would most like an easy to fool big ol' blonde.

Maybe it’s just the way you’re coming across. You’ve already heard from a number of guys in this thread that they are happily married to intelligent women. That includes me. Myself and my wife are both admitted to practice before the U.S Supreme Court.

How something is received is primarily based on how it is presented.

I think that you might be over reacting a bit to what he wrote. You made a blanket statement that men always believe that they are smarter than women. That’s an absolute BS statement in my world, I’m constantly in the company of women who are extremely intelligent. I don’t think for a minute that I am smarter than all of them. You must be hanging out with men who are idiots, because those are the people who are always the last to know.

There are many different types of intelligence, such as emotional intelligence, analytical intelligence, etc. The two most abundant things in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity. If you don’t believe me, take a dip into PARF sometime. People who could not pass an 8th grade logic class consider themselves really smart. As someone else eluded to, if you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room.
