A postage stamp up atop that hill you live on has to be kept pretty tight and right. Pretty.... I don't have "real estate" I have a place in the forest, and it takes its own work.... My quad, chainsaws, winches and no fences is pretty dam cool. Would never go back to the city, not that I could afford to...;) Get up here, not too far that you guys could fit it in one day. |
Yes!

Restful? No. I am often up hours before my "get up and go to work" time so I can go hunting or fishing
Refreshing and relaxing and mental resetting, yes. Restful, no. |
It's been a long week .... glad tomorrow is Friday :D

Before I retired...I looked forward to the weekends.
After retirement...I look forward the work week...less people at the places I want to go to. |
Not in my line of work.

I have always been a weekend warrior, even now. Camping trips, racing, car shows, live music gigs, family events. Hey, we can all rest when we are dead.
** Somebody pinch Look 171, he is dreaming again. :D |
Crazy week at work, up at 4am to go chase turkeys. Have family coming to town next weekend so this is my last weekend to hunt until October and muzzle loader season

We are both retired, but have our granddaughter living with us, who is school age. That means the weekend is when we "do stuff". In some ways it is good, in other ways it feels like a treadmill for two days.
I guess restful is a state of mind. Best Les |
I do not find them restful. The routine of weekdays kind of keeps me grounded. I am retired and do what I want with my time, and I like the consistency of having the same surroundings every day. Same NPR shows on the radio, same stores open, etc. every day.
