Anybody else remember
when boxing was good? I'm talking the 70's and 80's even before Tyson being considered. These guys were warriors!

Remember? I watched it with a now deceased buddy on closed circuit. It wasn't a long fight, but it was total war...(edit) Going in, I thought The Hitman would win.

I remember going out to the Alameda County Fairgrounds to see George Foreman's training camp in 1973-74. My Aunt's Dad was running for Sheriff and they had a campaign event there.
I got to meet Archie Moore and spent some time with him. He was pointing out different styles and techniques to me as we watched George spar with different fighters. Archie was the longest reigning World Light Heavyweight Champion of all time from 1952-62. Cool guy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archie_Moore
