Tork Straps

I ordered a pair of the 1 inch staps from Amazon after someone on here talked about them. It was back ordered two weeks ago and finally came in today.
I tried one out and they are the cat's a**.

If the load shifts...the tension stays. Press the button to release the tension.
14 ft. length.

^^^ I was a teenager when the Monkees were on tv....I watched every week. I had a few of their 45 rpm's also.

I should have mentioned that there is no ratcheting with these....you just pull to the tension you want.

That’s pretty cool, I’ll look for some of those.

The two that I ordered are for my hitch carrier that I use with my car...one inch width and 1500 lb strength.
They have lots of other sizes and lengths larger than that....all the way up to semi trailer binding straps.

I'm trying to think of a time when I hauled something that compressed.

I have had times where the load shifted (from cornering) and the strap was loose.
These maintain the tension even if you lose a board or two.

So you're sayin I could keep this belly I'm workin on in place with one or two of those?

Not to be too "trucker" but if the load shifted, it wasn't fastened down properly to begin with. I hauled an 84" Bobcat sweeper up to my friend in Manistee . Thing never moved. But I had five straps on it. Four to hold it and one to stop it from flying off the back of the trailer if the four straps broke.

Never thought about that....but they would make a good belt.
Would have to trim it down a ways...they are 14 ft. long.

Think of it as an insurance plan for the holidays.

I sort of crushed some boxes with a trucker hitch securing the load in the back of the truck when we moved

I hauled a washer and dryer several months ago from TX to KS, had to tarp them due to rain. I had to keep stopping and adjusting the ratchet straps because they would slightly shift and the straps would loosen.

Here's their 'big' one.
They have a whole line of different sizes between this one and mine.

Thanks Steve! Now I'm gonna have more tie down straps in my shop cabinet. I might not need them... but they're pretty cool!
