What Video Games are You Playing?

I recently picked up a new title called Generation Zero and I've been playing it with my dad and a couple friends. It's got that immersive retro vibe while being a first-person action adventure game. The soundtrack is cool, game play goes from slow exploration to crazy combat quickly.

Here's the trailer for the game: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3CGqaKUqfUs

Then there' s Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Grim Dawn which I have been rotating through. I'm half tempted to reinstall Elite: Dangerous.

What games and platforms are you all playing?

Uh, none. But entertain myself by hiking in the mountains and cycling all over creation.

I still play (occasionally ) X-plane and Oolite (Elite clone) on a PC. I need to get out and exercise more, but work has been sucking down all my time.

During lock down I went through the Witcher 3. Hubby is working through Ghost of Tsushima now. I've been watching. Graphics are unbelievable. He likes the game dynamics but can't speak to it myself.

I am eagerly awaiting fall when the new consoles come out. Assassins Creed and Horizon Forbidden West. At this point lack of time is a real issue to play.

That’s exactly it. I love a good quest-type game but there’s simply no time. I’m working my azz off these days... we’re super busy and if I want to get out and bike ride or surf or hike a little that pretty much is the whole day.

Most recently I was playing Destiny on my PS3 but I think the last time I turned it on was March. The kids have discovered “Portal 2” recently which I’ve always loved as a game too (not that I’ve got time to join in...)

Stephanie, my daughter is going through all the AC series right now.

With the kids, Stick fight or Left 4 Dead lately. Sometimes an air combat sim or racing game as well like GT Legends or rFactor with them as well.

Otherwise, Grand Prix Legends, Spintires, Dirt (series), Project Cars 2, rFactor with the Dirt Works mod. X-Plane, or an air combat sim or helicopter sim if I am in the mood to fly.

Mostly after 8:00 when we have time to play for a bit.

We also like hunting, fishing, hiking and just about finished the mods on the motorcycle trailer to haul the canoe and kayaks. Airsoft when we have the time to do so. It all depends on the weather and the day and if the parks are open.

Whatever the grand kids want to play is what I do, no video game system at my place.

Summer is for outside.

Last winter I hibernated with world of tanks and South Park/the fractured but whole.

Have been looking at war thunder.

I put together an old computer for my brother to use at his new place and he asked me to download Angry Birds on it. It has solitaire too. I try to stay away from it as best I can.

Old skool baby! With a little twist; a guy broke down the sprites on the old chips and made a few more levels.

Bringing back this thread.

I just bought a Colecovision on eBay and am up to 25 games! Haven’t played it yet as it only puts out RF, so needs an old CRT television or...

... a few people have made mod kits that allow you to change it to a composite video output and then by pairing it with a special box, can play on a modern television.

I have it taken apart, jacks installed and a few connections soldered, should be able to get it done this week and see if it actually works.

Winter is coming and I want to relive my childhood in the 80’s!

FFXIV is the bulk of it.
I love the combination of strangers and friends and working together with either.

I do enjoy dipping into Elite Dangerous from time to time.
Especially when the pre dawn sky that greets me when I get up has the moon placed just right to drive some inspiration in that direction.

In the long term I'm gonna build my own static but modular sim cockpit that I can use for either flying or driving.
A lot of components I'd want to include aren't in stock when I look.

One year on and I was able to get the new Xbox (through some miracle) and play through AC. Still can't get my hands on a PS. Those things are impossible to find and now they have announced a new God of War game for next year. Between the Horizon and GOW, Playstation better show up soon.

Hubby and I played the Ascent together. Cheap and lots of fun to play with a group.

I recently got into driving simulators on my PC, and I must say it is quite addictive.
Got a cheap thrustmasters T150 wheel, built a rig with 2x4s, and here I am driving groupB cars from the 80s in Dirt rally 2. I also have asseto Corsa for playing with F1 cars on asphalt.

I especially like the 911 SC RS in dirt2, and the 911 GT3rs in asseto Corsa.

Here’s a a video of the 911 SC RS in dirt2.
