Captain Obvious and Maintenance Videos

The ability to spend ten minutes looking for the answer to maintenance problems, especially with all the crap I have to manage the farm, is, and this is the Captain O part, why the internet was invented.

My son was home this weekend helping get ready for Spring. Lots of little stuff, cleaning lines, cutting up the tree detritus, etc.

For a large part of what I do, I use electric charin saws from hand-held to Dewalts 20v to pole saws.

Long day Saturday and on Sunday morning, charged batteries, the Dewalt won't work, not a whirl.

We get the other two electrics and a gas saw and get back to work.

After Jack leaves in the early afternoon, I spent a minutes looking for advice on the Dewalt.

Do bother watching unless you have the same issue, but this guy is great, with part number links, diagrams, etc.

$4.00 part. I can still goon it, but we'll see.

I'm on the third year with a Bauer 20 volt 10 inch saw.
So far, so good....the thing has been priceless for limb cleanup this spring.

I'm surprised he is pulling the trigger with the battery on and the chain cover still on.

I actually just bought the same saw last weekend. So far it’s been awesome to cut out some thick roots emerging from the yard. Fun tip, with a $20 adapter you can use the HF Hercules 20V batteries. I already have the Hercules ratchet, impact wrench, and buffer, so I didn’t want to buy different ones.

Paul I agree, YouTube is amazing for fixit advice on damn near anything.

Yes!!! I use YouTube as a tool!!! Any time I want to know how to work on something, even if I already kind of know how, I still check for videos on YouTube to see how others do it.

Ditto for me too. It gives me an idea of what I’m getting into and what I’m looking for.
