Home AC coil cleaner
You boyz use coil cleaner if you clean your home AC coils?
Seems like air and water do the trick fine. I did it anyway but after I'm done it just seems like marketing or something.

I use it as is is supposed to help dissolve the layer of dust and crap that clogs the fins.
I don't like spraying the fins with much water pressure to avoid damage.

I don't use it on the condenser. Normally just washing it out with water works fine. Main thing is, don't do it while it's running or you can drop the pressures enough to cause the evaporator to frost up. I use coil cleaner on evaporator coils since they have condensation on them and if a person isn't good about keeping good filters in the system, the evaporator can get pretty caked with stuff.

Or better yet, don't point the chute towards the AC unit. I don't know how many calls I went on where someone tossed a something at the condenser while mowing.

Timely. I did last week for the first time in like 6 years +. I made sure AC was off, pulled the big fuse by the unit too.. Popped the top, sprayed the cleaner all over inside and out (avoiding electrical cables), rinsed from both directions with a ggentle shower setting, and it foamed nicely and got a lot of dirt out, you can really tell it's is a lot cleaner now... Most of the nasty junk for me was gunk at the bottom of the protective grille.. Based on the low cost of a can of cleaner, I did not question too much whether "just water" would have worked the same or experimented 1/2 and 1/2 ;-) I suspect it's not required but I don't question $15 every 6 years too much.
