I think I'd give a testicle for this opportunity - Blue Angel video

Wow, what an experience!

I understand that under these sorts of circumstances pretty much everyone pukes. I can't imagine doing that. The time that she said, "I didn't like that," was crazy. I definitely can't imagine that.

Depends on how it was destroyed. I don't think mashing it with a hammer would work for me, even for this.

I would love to do that!

I had a college buddy roll a Cessna 172 with another friend in the back, and he was not happy.

That's me.
My kids laughed at me when I couldn't play them on their play station game.
Unlike them, I can get sea sick standing on a dock.

There's a movie made by Boeing, I forget the name of it, that follows some training the Air Force guys go thru. I watched it when we were in Vegas in an Imax theater. I swear they must have had some tests run on people like me as every time I was just this >|< close to tossing my cookies they'd change the scene and I was able to recover. They were flying A10 Warthogs thru the desert at low levels.

Incredible. She did far better than I would have. The words "vomit comet" come to mind.

That’s what I noticed when I played video games, trying to race a car. Years ago, somebody said there was a medical name for it. Maybe it has something to do with vision and inner ear?

In 2004 I was recognized as the Field Grade Officer for the State of California. With that distinction came an “Incentive Flight.” However due to ongoing operations related to the war on terror my flight was indefinitely postponed.

Five years later I got married and had my son. My then commander (the full bird using crutches) heard that I never got my flight and arranged for an incentive flight with the Oregon ANG (173rd Fighter Wing).

Believe it or not, I respectfully declined the opportunity. My new responsibilities and realization that I wasn’t a spring chicken anymore had a lot to do with the decision.

. . . besides I’ve had my fair share of stick and rudder time, so all is not lost. Call me crazy but as Clint Eastwood famously said “ A man has got to know his limitations.”

Before we go any further, we need to establish that Steve was not all that specific about whose test tickle he was willing to give. He is married, right?

Think I saw that at the air and space museum.

This guy has incredible in-cockpit footage. Really gives you perspective how close these guys fly.

I was at a DE several years ago and ran into an old family friend. He had a highly modified Corvette and was a skilled driver. I was less experienced and driving my 911. He and his wife had come to Seattle for an anniversary weekend. He had a track day, she had a spa day. I asked for a ride later in the day. He looked at me and said, "only if you won't puke". He had given rides to his brother, wife and another Corvette guy also running that day. All had puked in his car and cut every session short. I did not puke. I could not guarantee that with a Blue Angel flight however.

Oh I would willingly surrender one of mine given their current state of limited utility.
