Chrome plating in SoCal:

Anyone know of a good one that's still in business? I'll admit that I haven't done an Internet search other than asking here, thought I'd start with you guys. TIA as always.

I used to use Artistic Plating in Signal Hill. They also do a lot for Chip Foose. Good work but expensive.

Yeah many shops have closed.
20 years ago we used a chrome shop in Tijuana.
They would cross the border pick up parts and then deliver finished parts.

Thanks, guys. I ever thought of TJ, that’s probably the move. I don’t know a lot about plating but I do know that not all chrome is equal. It’s almost like painting….quality and thickness/finish seems to vary. I picked up a ‘67 MGB recently to restore and the front bumper is completely rusty…much worse than the rest of the car. I was under it working and to my surprise, it had a sticker on the inside from some plating place!

If you want it to last, triple-plating is best. Copper/nickel/chrome.

I haven't used any of these guys, but there's a bunch of of plating shops in your area.

Here's a couple ↓

Dennis, I have used these guys a few times. Not the cheapest but heir quality is reallty good. Lots of industrial type products.

I have used others for lamps and faucets for restoration projects. Universal plating in Irwindale.

Chrome plating services in Southern California vary widely in quality and pricing. Choosing a reliable shop involves reviewing online testimonials, inspecting previous work, and understanding their plating process to ensure durable finishes that meet aesthetic and functional expectations. When deadlines are tight and homework piles up, finding fast help is crucial. I found Academized to be a reliable service when I needed support. For quality assistance, visit https://academized.com/do-my-homework if you want to do my homework easily. Their experts deliver work on time and helped me stay ahead.
