Gene Hackman, his wife and dog found dead

https://nypost.com/2025/02/27/entertainment/gene-hackman-and-wife-betsy-found-dead-in-new-mexico-home-police/?utm_source=smartnews&utm_campaign=nypost&utm_medium=referral

Police say no foul play. So what happened? Carbon monoxide or some kind of gas leak?

On February 26, 2025, Hackman, his wife, and their dog were found dead at their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was 95.[65][66] The Santa Fe police department said there were no significant indications of foul play but did not provide either time or cause of death.[67] "

I think this would be likely too considering how cold it has been in that area lately.

It would be crazy if someone with his money didn’t have a CO detector in his home.

His net worth is rumored at 80 million , you would think the house would have adequate smoke and CO detectors . But maybe not . Unless the wife was terminally ill I don't see agreed upon suicide as the cause of death . I think CO . The truth will come out after the autopsy .

My first thought when I saw this on Fox's web site this AM was CO poisoning.

Anyone seen his movie "The Conversation"? Great little movie with a twist.

Some people are capable of murder, but I doubt anyone could kill their dog.

You would think so.

But when thoughts of murder and suicide enters someone's mind.....all bets are probably off on any conventional thinking......

Good point. 911 Rod makes sense. You won't kill your pet. You would have to almost be a psychopath - unless a health mercy killing.

I can be done though and we weren't there.
