Porsche Named as the Official Car of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

Did everyone see the news from Monday about Porsche being named the official car of Laguna Seca?

https://newsroom.porsche.com/en_US/2025/company/porsche-official-car-weather-tech-laguna-seca-39392.html The article says, "'Many of the greatest moments in motorsport history have happened at Laguna Seca,' said Timo Resch, President and CEO of PCNA. 'We are excited to be a part in the track’s exciting plans for the future and to allow the next generation of enthusiasts to get behind the wheel of a Porsche.'" This seems like exciting news for racing enthusiasts and will likely make the next Rennsport Reunion even better. What are everyone's thoughts on this? There's also going to be a Porsche Driving Center at Laguna Seca starting in 2026! I found some more info here: https://www.porschedriving.com/laguna-seca/laguna-seca-raceway/

Why does everyone insist on driving over the curbs?

It is the fastest way around the track. When I drove it with an instructor, he kept telling me to clip the curbs. I replied an empathetic NO!, and I continued I am here just for fun. I don't give a wit about saving 1/2 a second or even 2 seconds per lap. It ain't a race, and I am driving this car home to Oklahoma on these tires, and I don't want to abuse the suspension.
