I liked the person.
Would you like the person as much without them relying on AI?

Thank you, I'm frugal. I just can't stand the idea of paying someone $100+/hr without trying to do it first.

And then having them do a crappy job.

Got a guy that used to work for me, and works for me again. Few years back, I gave him my resume as an example. He used it to get hired in his current job. I am now the supervisor there. His resume is nearly verbatim mine...he changed virtually nothing other than his name.

Some groups automatically assume that any question of the validity of their ability is because they are (x gender) or (x race) or (x nationality). They can't accept that all applicants are screened and you must be discriminating them.
Example: I was pulled over for wreckless driving by speeding and blowing through a red light. I also smelled like alcohol and blew up the breathalyzer BUT the only reason the police officer pulled me over was because I am (x). {Now pull out the race card}

disclosure: this is not a comment or judgement on any particular person.

My buddy was looking for a technical team lead position, for the in-person interviews he setup a lab and requested everyone complete certain tasks in the lab to prove their creds. 90% of the people could not do the lab...

I thought it was brilliant

Lol, that's a big reach from what I was getting at, but whatever...

My point was, interviewers forget that the candidate is also interviewing who theyll be working with. I've had several interviews where I eventually tired of the 'gotcha' questions and decided there was no way I would take the job, and politely told them so. I had an extensive career in IT management. I mean, asking me the four divisions of a COBOL program isn't really germaine to the position, but if you must know they're find, cut, copy, and paste.

I've a friend that is swamped with fake resumes, mostly from india.

She says it takes her approximately a minute to end the zoom interviews. Just ask about their actual experiences in the domain. They should have a lot of stories with so many years of experience.

She's hiring for very technical positions so its easy to tell right away. The candidates might have ai and prompts but they're defenseless against her questions. And MAN does she hold a grudge.
