Well made, engaging and all around a lot of fun to watch.

Agreed! Went yesterday, over the top in some areas but fun none the less. Favorite shot, near final scene, vintage Husky on the back of his van, guessing a 400 cross.

Some of it was filmed at a local family-owned restaurant here!

I saw it on IMAX and really enjoyed it. Javier Bardem was excellent, but Brad Pitt had the good role and delivered. He's as enjoyable as McQueen was, but in a different way, of course. Confidence and laid-back charm. Kerry Condon was also quite enjoyable as the team's Technical Director. A rising star, no doubt. For me, the racing scenes were the best that have made it to film to date. Some good plot twists.

This clip doesn't even do the movie justice, but it gives you a good peek without giving much away:

I guess I will need to see it. Might be in it. They were filming the Pitt fall down scene on the pit straight at Vegas and asked the crowd above our station to participate. I must say, if that falling down scene out of the car after an incident is an indicator not sure it is a real racing movie.

Everyone says it's good, (including my female critic who would not care about racing), so need to get back in the theater. Everyone stopped going to movies after the pandemic and now there is a real movement to get people back and it seems to be working based on my very unscientific sample of friends.

I listened to a podcast of movie reviewers about the movie.

One said the team brings Pitt in with nine races to go and the entire movie is a countdown to the last race that he wins. Who couldn't see that coming.

Other said there is only one women in the movie and guess what, she hooks up with Pitt. Shocker.

Other said there was no villain in the plot. They didn't make one of the other drivers a villain because they used actual F1 drivers and couldn't make a real driver the bad guy. I would have suggested Max and he'd fit the role perfectly.

I want to see it. I figure it's got to be better than Driven with Sly Stallone (and that had some entertainment value) or Days of Thunder.

Maybe too early for spoilers? There is a villain in the plot and three women I can recall. See the movie. If you don't like it, I'd be surprised.

her comments about the filming of the "snuggle" scene are pretty funny. She's lovely

Just watched it tonight with my Daughter and Son's GF. They both liked it. They are not car people at all.

I thought the ending wasn't quite perfect but other than that, it was pretty great entertainment.

I also couldn't stop looking at Brad and wondering what happened to his face. There is either a filter, some heavy makeup, or some surgical thing. He just looks different. He looked normal in Bullet Train. Which I LOVED.

I haven't seen the movie. As usual, I'll wait until it comes to the TV near my couch. I know nothing about the plot but I'm struggling to understand how a 60 year old guy believably gets behind the wheel of an F1 car.

Looks wise, Pitt looks like he’s 45. The story line would put him in the 55 yr old range. I didn’t have a problem with it. He made the movie, and rightly so.

And he's 61. In reality some people don't look their age. That goes both ways. Does Alonso look 43? Maybe, I've never seen him in person.

Saw it yesterday matinee at Ipic theater in Pasadena. If you ever get a chance to go to one of their spots, I highly recommend it. Expensive but actually worth it...you get your own little pod that looks like a 1st class seat on Emirates with sound deadening so that you can't hear anyone else in the theater, and vice-versa. There is a full bar and menu and a server comes by as soon as you sit down to take your order if you want anything.

I hadn't been out to see a movie in a while, (watch everything at home like most people now), was a shock to my system.

I thought the film was great, a true achievement in film making especially since it's the most well-worn script in the history of scripts. That they made it good was to me like a Porsche 911, "engineering over design."

My previously mentioned female critic liked it so much that she wanted to see it again and took me to it.
