MLB World Series - 2025 - Dodgers vs. Blue Jays - starts tonight!

The 2025 World Series gets underway Friday in Toronto, where the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers with their lights-out pitching and a guy named Shohei take on the American League champs Toronto Blue Jays in their first Fall Classic appearance since winning back-to-back titles in 1992-1993.

Fox has U.S. broadcast rights to the best-of-7 series, with live coverage of all games to begin at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, with the first pitch for all games set for 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The lead team of Joe Davis and Hall of Fame pitcher John Smoltz will call the games for Fox, with sideline reporters Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci also pitching in and Tom Rinaldi on features duty. (Side note: Lead producer Pete Macheska is running his final World Series broadcast from the Fox production truck in his 22nd year.)

Dare I say this is a Hispainc / gang thing? I worked selling coke as a young kid back in the 80s with all the local kids around the neighborhood on night games and weekends. I live right there in the hills of Elysian/echo park and was walking distance to the stadium. Sad days at the game. They stare you down and say all kind of siht to you if you aren't one of them. Tear up the city if they win, all kinds of stupid siht.

I got my first Blue Jays tee shirt and hat in 1977.
My mom and I went into Toronto from her hometown just north of there for a shopping trip. It was a mission for me to get the hat and shirt!

Well - the Dodgers tied the series up tonight 5-1 with a very strong outing from their starting pitcher, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who pitched a complete game.

The series now moves to LA!
