I cut the bolt head off to remove it or I would have had to remove the gas tank. I installed it with the nut on gas tank side but the bolt was touching the gas tank so I cut it off.

I was a little nervous with a 6” grinder in a tight space next to the gas tank but took my time and it worked out.

Actually, I’ve been thinking about getting one of those for work. Watching a few videos, the guys using a saws all, ditched it in favor of a die grinder, and one guy damaged his fuel tank. But then, you have to use what you have.

Good idea but it’s all back together now, with a 5/8 bolt in one location. I think it’ll survive for a couple of days.

If I don’t post on Monday or Tuesday afternoon, and you read about a Charleston man dying in a truck wreck, then you will know it didn’t work!

I drove 100 miles this morning and the truck felt much better after the new springs, shocks and end links. I was using 4 x 4 shocks, because I had a 4 inch lift, but I think they were bottoming out on compression. Anyway, day one, it feels better, but we will see in the long-term.
