Thanks for posting! I am lucky enough to own one of these and I must say, it is an awesome experience. Everything about it...except working on the engine in place.

6 decades old design that still looks amazing today.... You are a fortunate man. At 6'3", I'd need one with a Gurney roof bubble..

I think one of most common surprises people have with this car is how small it is...not just in the 40 inches in height. Sadly the cockpit is tighter for the passenger, and a lot of people just don't fit. To put it in perspective, it is about the size of the first generation Miata...slightly longer and lower in height.

My impression when looking at a 906 and other endurance race cars. There's a reason many pro race drivers are smaller guys...other than quicker reflexes.

Yea, it is tiny! Very cool car.

The mighty 917s were smaller than a 914.

My mind was completely blown the first time I stood next to 917. The thing was like a go kart. Always looked huge in pictures.

Same here, (but it was the 906 for me). The thought of those cars blasting down a French farm road at 200mph in the dark of night was almost more than I could imagine.

I remember vividly back in the 1970s when I was a young and skinny young man getting to ride in a 904. That is a very tiny car. My shoulder was rubbing on the owners shoulder. You don't really get in, you puit it on and wear it.

It is freaky AF, tiny like a Triumph Spitfire, but it goes 200 MPH and one tire is probably as wide as all the tires on the 914 put together. You only thought a 914 was low and tiny.

917 the top of your head is at the top of the 914 door, that is just crazy
