Low Bridge, Underpass & Launch Ramp Thread

Please post your website, Facebook group or whatever that shares the views of your local bridge, underpass, intersection or launch ramp,

I'm some how compelled to watch this form of entertainment, its kind of cathartic seeing others dumber than me.

My fave lately is the Needles CA. single lane, low clearance underpass.

Wavy Boats will give you hours of fun boat fail viewing, primarily Haulover Inlet but some at Boca as well. Miami Boat Ramps and Alfred Montaner will give you hours of fun watching people crash their boats, sink their trucks, and get in fights at the boat ramp. When it gets cold outside and I’m waiting for summer so I can go boating again, this is what I watch.:)

This happens at least 2x a month and sometimes just days apart. State Hwy 49 in Tuolumne County.

Some classics here.
Obviously 11foot8 is the GOAT.
Haulover Inlet is up there.
And boat ramp is gold too.

Ya, there are a couple boat launch & making it out the head water sites on FB that are awesome. Drunk folks fighting, trying to back down a ramp, and how quickly the wives get involved....

+ 1
Lots of money for those in this one.

I have to ask, since I know little of the ocean.

Are a lot of these intentional for YouTube and shore audience appeal? Some boats seem to go back and forth in the churning swells. Are these just noted places for boating, like a huge mogul run in skiing?

Plus, why does it seem many of the little kids aren't wearing life jackets?

I'll say it, not wearing a life jacket on a river is worse than a Lake or the Ocean.

Saw a child get pulled out and under from wading depth. Mom dives in same thing, both struggling. Dad jumps in boat and throws them life preservers and goes and fish them out way down river. Mom & daughter were really hurting from all the muscles they pulled to save their lives. The rest of us were just stunned by what happened in just a couple seconds.

People are morons on the water. We boat at Lake of the Ozarks, which can get pretty rough at certain times and places. Under 15, you’re wearing a life jacket or you’re not coming. If we go in the main channel on the weekend when it’s rough, no kids sitting in the bow. None of this is complicated. We tend to see the most stupidity from the rental boats, thank God they’re easy to spot so you can keep a wide berth.

I suspect that's not the case at someplace like haulover inlet at the right/wrong time of the day. As I understand it, a couple of times of day, the inlet gets crazy because of the tide. I suspect it's treacherous then. Hell, it doesn't look safe if you're in a boat. I assume it would be similar to a rip tide (which I've never experienced, but seems pretty dangerous).

What I’ve read online is that it’s a combination of the narrow inlet, tide, and wind. Sometimes the right conditions come together and it’s sketchy as hell.
