It would be fitting.

Maybe they were fighting over the gas in the mower!

No, but, the boyfriend was running with his lawnmower and his lunch pale, trying to evade his girlfriend. That's when the naked guy stormed out of the cabin and they spilled into the dirt road I was riding up. They were in one tire track of the dirt road, I rode by in the other tire track. So however close tire tracks on a dirt road are, that's how close we were.

This was in West Virginia.

The bobcats were interesting too- both seen in about the same place. One was on a rocky outcropping looking down at me. The other walked about 100 ft in front of me. It looked like a cat, but it was the size of a dog.

I'm pretty sure I'd be a bit concerned if I didn't have a good place to get away from a bear.

I think they are kickers, and their legs are powerful with a tough "claw" on the end. I think they can do damage if they get you just right.

I'd love to see a bobcat. I know a buddy that lives in a neighborhood/suburb in Plano that has recorded them on his doorbell camera. I wouldn't be too worried if I saw a bobcat. I know they could do some damage, but I wouldn't be afraid for my life. A mountain lion, would be very concerning though. I don't want to be eaten.

Valley Forge park maybe 20 years ago. Going up a road climb with banks on either side. Buck jumps the road as I'm passing, and his freaking hooves clattered off my helmet. Lady in Subaru behind me pulls up as I stop and says "well, you don't see that every day". No schitz.

You don't have to feed it or clean the litterbox or replace your upholstered furniture or take it to the vet! The perfect cat!

^^^ Great pics of that bobcat!

We don't have many here in MI...but I was lucky to see one a few years back when driving.
It was running through a field next to a wooded area and was headed for crossing the road ahead of me. At the last minute he turned and went back into the woods.

Rare to see them here in the daylight.

Down here on the gravel trails we encounter gators, snakes, panthers and (skinny) deer mostly.

No kidding!

We have an Otter family on one side of the farm along the marsh. I saw one in the water a few days ago when I parked in the shade.

The fact that I never thought about setting up a game cam (I have five) before to get some pics is annoying to me.

But I shall!

I am also getting smarter about a dedicated camera so I get less of this:

Yowza. I suspect that's like getting hit by a linebacker!

I have to think that when you see wild critters running, unless you're certain that they are chasing you, it might be a good idea to slow down or perform evasive maneuvers.
