Looks like he launched @ ~4500-4800 and shifted around 6k.
I had a buddy that thought lencos were super cool when I was a teen. They are. I guess if I was a pure drag racer that was using a manual, that might be the way to go.

Lenco is obsolete in drag racing, unfortunately. Everyone is using a one stick pull-pull shifter, made by companies like Outlaw.
Nothing cooler than a brace of shifters coming thru the tunnel, but in the search for consistency and tenths of thou in the lights means technology trumps everything. (I was at a small dragstrip this weekend. The cubic dollars spent by amateurs is mind boggling. Beautiful dragsters and beautiful trailers pulled by toterhomes are as common as empty VP race-fuel cans.)
