Good Home Ins co that services Texas?
Who in Texas has a company that they like that provides home insurance? We've been using ANPAC and got word that they are pulling out of Texas completely at the end of the year. Our agent is supposed to be able to help us find a new carrier, but I'm curious if someone has a company that they like (or companies that they would avoid).
We've had home and auto with them for years and enjoy the discount that we get for doubling up, so that would be nice too if possible.

If you've ever seen a US Army or USMC bumper sticker... you too are eligible for USAA.
Honestly, they suck. I know they have issues with home insurance due to flood areas and other oddities. But unfortunately, that is what I have.

They all suck in Texas. I'm going to try raising my deductible to 10% or more since they don't pay a claim anyway. My only real concern is if my house burns down or I get a big liability claim on a pool accident. My next door neighbor has no insurance and I'm half tempted to follow suit.

We should blame it all on Galveston, Port Arthur, and Beaumont. It doesn't seem like we get nearly the natural disasters of the east coast or west coast or the Gulf coast from Port Arthur to Pensacola which seems to get the worst of the hurricanes.

I used Germania Ins for our house in Brenham. They seem to target rural areas to service. Seemed reasonable, but I never had a claim.

I'm assuming that's why our current group is leaving Texas. The wankers!
