The Crazy Mind Of A Cat!!!

Well, our dishwasher stopped working the other day and was full of water so I checked it out yesterday morning. I spent 3 hours on this thing. I thought, okay it is full of water so there must be a blockage in the drain which caused it to fill up with water and trip the float switch which would then cut power. So, I removed the lower basket of dishes and vacuumed the water out, removed everything all the way down to the bottom of the cabinet, and found nothing!!! So, then I removed the lower panel to access the drain hose and disconnected it, and also disconnected the drain hose at the sink, and found the hose to be clear also. Hmmm, this was a head scratcher and I was thinking, I'm gonna have to "call the guy" on this one and have someone take a look, feeling defeated, I put my tools up and was about to throw in the towel and something told me, check the door latch switch. There are two switches at the latch that have to be simultaneously activated for the machine to work and one of the switches was broken. Aha!!! I confirmed this by jumping out the broken switch and aha, the power came on. So, I found a replacement switch on eBay for less than 25 bucks and I planned to jump out the broken switch so that the dishwasher could be used until the replacement switch arrived. Okay, what does this have to do with the mind of a cat you ask?
I put all of the screws and the old switch into a ziplock sandwich baggie and left it on the lazy susan on our dining table. Yep, you guessed it, Esmerelda apparently found the baggie and has hidden it somewhere. I discovered this when I saw her playing with something this morning and it was an item from the baggie. Great!!! I have searched everywhere, under couches and around all the places she would go, and have yet to find the baggie. So, I have to get into the mind of this cat to find out what she did with the baggie of parts!!! Ah, the craziness that is my life these days. I just turned 60 on Monday the 15th, I thought life was supposed to get easier with age???
I hope that y'all find this entertaining!!!

You need a cat camera and some cat handcuffs...

Haha. I was just thinking "what does this have to do with a cat", but then your next sentence was " Okay, what does this have to do with the mind of a cat you ask?..."

Well, I feel bad now, sort of. I found the baggie of parts right where I left it on a shelf out of the reach of Esmerelda, oops!!! See, I am losing my ever-loving mind!!!

Life does NOT get easier with age. Whatever gave you that thought?

Put a treat in a baggie and leave it on the table. Maybe a habit will return, maybe not. If you have an Apple tag, better.

Getting older is Mind Over Matter. I find if you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

I did find it entertaining, but was probably not laughing as hard as the cat is.

Happy belated birthday you dementia addled old coot!

Yes, that's the most fun, putting something someplace "safe" or "hidden" to protect it and then later realizing that you're mostly protecting the item from yourself.
