I appreciate the responses..
No, what I wanted to do is 100% not crucial, yeah there are other manual ways of doing it daily.. I just wanted to get some familiarity with AI agents and thought this was an interesting and relatively simple problem for me to try to play with, that's all... Not too concerned AI would know where my kid's school is. But the bottom line is that this relatively simple use case is NOT easy to code.. You need to integrate your agent software with an AI model and a source of info (waze, maps) and output it... Sounds simple but there are lots of choices along the way, lots of paywalls and integrations via API keys and other fun stuff... I thought by now there would be a simple tool (kinda object oriented model, you draw a few arrows between the objects you need, edit some properties, bob's your uncle), I am surprised it is not the case... I will bench that idea for a while, I talked to a friend who is way more into this than most of us - he said it was doable but required a lot of setup and cross permissions between the components - he finds it fun, I found it annoying ![]() We sure live in interesting times. |

I'm bearish on the entire future of the country, AI is just one aspect.
