Paypal question.
For the past year I have been an unverified Paypal member. Paypal just declined a payment I tried to make saying I had reached my limit and I must become a verified member to continue using Paypal.
Is there any way around this? I really don't want Paypal linked to my bank account and I'd rather not open a new account just for Paypal.

New email address from hotmail/yahoo/etc. - you will be an unverified member again...

My plan, (if I ever get to that point) is to sign up for a free checking account at a different bank, put $20 in it and use that account to get "verified". Make sure it doesn't have any sort of overdraft protection.

My only personal beef with PayPal so far is how they strongarm you into providing lots of financial information, ie bank accounts and credit cards, to 'verify' yourself. I recently got an email from them - very similar to the scam ones(!) telling me that my credit card hard almost expired. The email was legit, but I stopped using this credit card a year or so ago, and had replaced it with another, yet they kept the information on file, meaning they fully intended to charge against it if need be.
