H1 Hummers have CTIS (central tire inflation system)...it looks like those wheels are made for it as well. Pretty sure it was done on purpose...

BROTHER MAX!!
Wow, I haven't seen him in years! He always used to preach out in the Purdue Memorial Mall. I occasionally hung out with some friends by the University building to "light one up" before Stat class and you couldn't miss him!

Wow, small world...

That's right, the Hummer has CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System) that allows you to inflate or deflate the tires from inside the cab. The system runs on front only, rear only or both. So if you see both rear or front tires flat like that the guy probably has a leak in the system; which is very, very common!

Here's mine as it sits; I haven't drove it for a couple weeks now with the Pcar on the road and the front system has a very minor leak somewhere among the miles of air lines and fittings; I'm putting an air cock valve on each tire to prevent this, as the search for air leaks is endless; you get them all for a couple weeks and then one off road trip and bang, flat tires the next day.

Good news is that It only takes a few minutes and they're right back to full pressure again; what'ya gonna do?

Yeah, it'd be dangerous but I think I'd be okay. I'd make extensive use of the emergency handle system.

Actually, those might be safer than Harbor Freight jackstands.

Is it me, or have you ever thought about the melted toothpaste tubes and sardine cans that probably get melted into the molten Chinese metal when they cast the toothed part of the ratcheting jackstands sold at Harbor Freight?

How easily would one (or all!) of those teeth sheer off with say my big ass Dodge Ram Quadcab 4x4 on them and me underneath? Eek!

Obligatory picture:

My new grandson (Hey, they don't ALL have to be big boobed bimbos or permanent records of stupidity!)
