Another pelican is familiar with this pic. This is/was(hopefully) an architect's rendition of how to push a proposal for a oversized appartment building P.U.D. through the public planning works.
Notice that it is actually 5 storys tall. The building on the left is 3 storys, and the building on the right is 4 storys.

I was for that project, but silent. My wife and about 90% of the public speaking out were against it. It was defeated and is dead.

One neighbor of the proposal built a mass model of the project and all of the tiny adjacent homes. He had a whole two minutes to explain it, just like everyone else. It was pretty convincing actually. Made the proposed project look huge and imposing.

The six bedroom apartment/ boarding house/frat house/ unofficial dorm schemes are all terrible for the city and the existing neighborhoods.
