my friend has been stacking sandbags all week to try and save his house from the flood coming in a day or two. COE surveyors told him to expect 3ft of water in his yard. he lives outside of the levees surrounded by lakes and rivers

this is a photo of the atchafalaya river in morgan city may 12th. water was up about 6 ft. they are reporting it could be about 12-13ft above flood stage by tuesday

we're behind 20ft+ levees and seawalls that should keep us from flooding

may 15th water is over the city docks now and up to the seawall. should be several feet up the seawall by tomorrow

they sank a 3 barges across Bayou Chene (Intracoastal Canal) to try and block backwaters of Atchafalaya river from flooding the lakes and rivers north of town and keep running out to the gulf. the communities around the lakes are on the wrong side of the levees and will probably be underwater if the barges don't hold

This has to be PhotoShop. Where was the photographer shooting from? The color inside does not match the ground.

The shadows are wrong also. Both inside the plane and the on the ground. The sweep of the propellers is questionable also.

They wouldn't be flying without their "monkey harness" on, (with tail strap to deck fitting) or without belmet / headsets. It would be pretty difficult to stand like that on a moving aircraft that is in a nose down attitude of the degree apparent from photo. The prop arcs are not to scale either. This was staged on the ground.

Here is how it is done properly (not shopped)
