Beijingers call that building the "underpants building"
My wife told me they think the building looks like a pair of boxers...    The middle picture is a building next to the underpants building (which I think is the home of China Telecom?) was burnt when nearly completed by some workers having a little celebratory fireworks display that got out of hand... apparently they are trying to save the building..... not sure about that after the steel has been exposed to so much heat.
