Tell me, "Future Boy", who's President in the United States in 1985?

EDIT: Text added for an extra Emmett Brown reference.

I recognize those stone walls. Ah, the loving arms of "Mother-B." Is it really time for the class of 2010 to be starting? Good heavens, '99 seems so long ago now. I must be getting old.

These are pretty popular locally, we watch them on the lake every weekend- really look like a blast. So far I know of one person badly injured- actually a traumatic aortic rupture. They did survive after major emergency surgery- will be months before he is out and about. I heard they actually went pretty high, the angle went high enough that the kite stalled, and down they all came.
Be safe out there.

Go 150 knots all day long?

This outboard engine just ruins it for me.

Looks to me like just a pontoon boat on-plane (on-step). Not even a true hydrofoil.
Can't say I would ever pony-up $400k to own one.

Especially when you can have a real Tupolev N007 for half that amount. Seats 6, carries 400kg payload, and travels at 125kmh - powered by a 9 cylinder radial.

Or maybe you could pick up a used Russian Ekranoplan:
