His license plate shouldn't read ARHF-513 - it should read BARHF-513.

Are there any Civics left in this world that haven't been ruined?

Arg, that's awful, and from my province too, that makes it embarassing!

I saw something similar yesterday being driven by a well-dressed, middle aged man clearly on his way home from work. I figured it must've been his son's car - that would suck!

This is only because Hitler set out to destroy the cultural symbolism of many ubiquitous religeous symbols. The swastika is only one of the religeous symbols that has become tarnished through use by the Nazis. Others are the iron cross, and the thunderbolts of Zeus (used as the symbol of the the SS).

The swastika cropped up on every continent of the world thousands of years ago seemingly independently. Though there are theories about how it may have been transferred through culteral interaction, it is most widely thought that the swastika came from patterns in woven baskets. The swastika was (is) use to represent rebirth, infinity, the interrelated (interwoven) nature of all things. It is still used both as decoration, and as a religeous symbol by Hindus and Buddhists, and was used by Christians, Jews, Muslims, Native Americans, and many others.

And since this is the pictures thread:

It was already used left and right handed around the world. Most cultures used it one way or the other, and a few used it both ways.

Exactly my thought as well. By applying downforce to the rear end, isn't the wing adding traction to the tires that aren't driving the car and therefore reducing the car's ability to accelerate?

It wasn't always. Ever been to the Carlsburg brewery? They have them all over in the walls and such. It's an old Indian symbol, stolen for the the Nazi cause. The brewery leaves them up because it's a historical site.

I doubt those cars will do anything other that go in a straight line, but if you ever wanted to turn, especially in a FWD car with heavy front weight bias, it's nice to have the rear as planted as possible. Then again you can probably get as much traction in the rear with just suspension.

Ironically I believe the original Indian swastika symbolizes peace.

It is much more then a Indian symbol. It has been used all over the world for thousands of years. There are cave paintings in Europe with Swastikas. Hindu idols in India, Buddhist temples in China, Christian churches in Europe, Jewish temples in Israel, Greek Coins, Roman pottery, Gaelic pottery, Scandinavian swords, Eygypt, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and the list goes on and on. It was a universal symbol. It had different meanings in different cultures, but always benevolent.

Here's a picture:
