I don't have anything to do with anything in Torrance.
I type fairly quickly for an older guy and can usually write it in my head as I go with little editing.
There was a time when I could do a 10 page college term paper in under a half hour that was worth an A grade.

BTW, food for thought:
I've been banned from this site once (or any site for that matter), for a period of three days IRRC.

The reason I was banned according to the poopy-head was that I changed/modified someone's quote in a way that could be construed as insulting.
Just like you did.
Of course I'm sure he's done the same thing once or twice over the years.

Does anyone really think he picked up a gun and went to Catalina Island and figured " Hey I should shoot me one of the Bison" ???

Catalina Island Conservancy

Q: Are bison native to Catalina?
A: No. The bison were introduced to Catalina. Fourteen were brought to the Island in the 1924 for the making of a film. The animals were left on the Island and proliferated. The herd grew as large as perhaps 600 individuals.

Q: Since bison are not native, why do you keep them on Catalina?
A: Over the near century of residence on the Island, bison have become an expected feature, almost iconic, to the Island traveler. A number of tours, literature and attractions feature the bison, which have become rather famous. In 2003, the Conservancy commissioned a scientific study of the bison and their impact on the Island. According to the study, the bison suffer from a poor diet due to frequent drought conditions and a history of overgrazing by other non-native herbivores. The study also found that the animals are significantly smaller than mainland bison, and appear in relatively poor nutritional condition.

The study additionally concluded that while a large, unrestricted herd of bison can be detrimental to some of the more fragile native habitats, a small herd of anout 150 restricted to certain areas of the Island could be sustained without causing undue stress to native plant communities. The Conservancy is sensitive to the wants and needs of the resident community, and has adopted this strategy.
Q: Is it true that the Conservancy’s intent is to eliminate bison on the Island?
A: No. In fact, the Conservancy is committed to maintaining a herd of between 150 and 200 animals, the number determined through a scientific study to be optimum for keeping both the herd and the Island ecosystem healthy.
On a recent trip to Catalina we saw a video where they rounded up a bunch of Buffalo, loaded them on a barge and shipped them off to a native American reservation in the mid west> My wife: "boy are they going to be pissed when winter comes!"
However I am pretty sure they did cull the heard by hunting in previous years... don't know for sure but I also presume the hunters paid fees that went to the Catalina conservatory.
Hate to say it but there were a bunch of non native goats on the island that were destroying the native plants... lets just say the native plants are doing a LOT better!

I'm not a hunter, and I cold go full vegan (wife wouldn't be able to handle it)... but hunting is a tradition that I support.

She's the same one from the first pic with the snow in the hair, but with the freckles airbrushed out. Maybe a search for the other photo will yield some results

Think of them as modern day Vargas girls.

I find it interesting that this is a very attractive woman, even daresay beautiful. I would risk the red hair, get beyond the tat's but this is an absolute buzz-kill deal-breaker for me. Guess we all have our likes & dislikes.

Come on man, I think that post had some obvious nag in it.. . Either way, its a light-hearted poke with no lasting offense intended.

I was simply pointing out that hunting bison on Catalina is shooting fish in a barrel. I've got no problem with hunting and have no pretenses about saving the cute animals or any other things like that.

I enjoy guns, leather and steak as much as the next guy.

Any thoughts on what happened in Torrance, btw?
