Yuppers, curb feelers. Especially popular on low riders and lead sleds where the curb scrapes paint before a tire iffn you get too close.

They make a heck of a racket when they scrape against the curb and tell ya that's close enuff.

Now I feel farking old... Oh, and the high/low beam switch for the headlights used to be on the floor... not sure why they did away with that.

Okay you old guys, remember when the starter switch was under the gas pedal so you'd have to pump and press the gas pedal to start the car?

My mom's 1965 Mustang had the high beam switch on the left floor and she finally sold it for a late 1970's Toyota and NEVER used her high beams as no one told her the switch had been moved to the steering column!
