Was there a 964 Cup car with some Recaros sitting next to it when you were there?

I had heard that they laid out parts like that, but that is un real level of organization!

I took those photos a while ago, but I did see a 964 Cup car in that shop this past weekend (sorry, no photo). Every project is handled with similar precision, organization and attention to detail. It's always a real treat to poke around in there.

That shop should have an observation deck like an operating room.

As a matter of fact, it does. There's an elevated walkway overlooking that work area.

Maybe really crappy soil. Low bearing? High hydro pressure?

When built?

I think it was built in the 70's when concrete was cheap. They had almost no rebar when we broke them apart. No expansive soil in this area. Sandy Silt. I think it was because they had a small footing with these large footings at the panel joints. It was still a surprise and overkill. IMO. But just like everything. Build it bigger and stronger until you have the knowledge to build it better.
