One of the first I remember, at the drive in, in my parents' 1950 Chrysler Town & Country station wagon.

The first movie I remember seeing was at the drive-in, too... in my PJ's... I was 3 1/2 or 4. It was probably a double feature with one of these: http://www.imdb.com/search/title?year=1955,1955&title_type=feature&sort=moviemeter,asc

Yeah, Lady and the Tramp was probably one of my first also. I remember I had a plastic toy of Tramp that I chewed the ears off. Disney was into promotional toys even back then.

That's awesome, Tom! Please convey to your grandfather our utmost respect and gratitude for his service.

Please let him know that my Mom, a WWII vet, just turned 94, and is still in her own house and still driving as well.

Here's Mom and Dad 6 months after they got married. Photo taken in June 1946 right after the war. He was an Ensign and stayed in the Navy until 1959 (a 20 year stint).

And here's Mom on her 94th birthday. I asked her to hold up one of the current books she was reading.

The greatest generation....you bet they were.

Today was the first time I had seen this photo.... I knew it was Dennis Hopper, taken during the filing of Apocalypse Now, but thought it was a very good composition and feel like it is a 'photo that could tell a story'.
