Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

Since we tend to walk Henry in the morning hours before work in the dark and want to be visible on our crappy narrow road.  So I had the great idea of visiting a local safety supply store and get one of those reflective vests. What it had gotten me the "two" days I have worn it you ask? Two separate people, one on foot and one in a car stop and tell/ask about the potholes that have gotten really bad since we got 70" of rain.  I'm not sure of to many County/City DOT employees that wear shorts, flip flops walking a 16 lb Schnauzer. Placerville can't boast about have the sharpest "tools" in the shed.
