If they are going by the BMI they are full of organic waste. My BMI says I am obese. My body fat is 19%. If I were to drop to a healthy BMI I would be below my lean body mass. My neighbor was told she was obese also. Even though she went to state in cross country and gymnastics (floor and uneven bars). People are stupid.

Common knowledge that BMI does not represent people with certain physiques. Athletes and bodybuilders will get strange results.
You belong in that category I suppose.
Most of your countrymen do not.
For Joe average it is a good indicator. (Maybe not the best but very widely used)
Since a populationgroup has more Joe Averages than Lance Armstrongs and Ronny Colemans, the BMI may be a better indicator than you think.
I too get a skewed indication, but it doesn’t bother me as much.

I prefer the totally non-scientific method, how many attractive young ladies make eye contact, smile and even blush as I enter the room. It only takes one to make my day, jury duty wasn't so bad yesterday I scored two acknowledgements of my existence.
