probably an impostor trying to profit on a corporate image. notice that the logo is not correct either? considering that China's copyright/trademark laws are a lot less powerful than the US's, if even enforced, this type of stuff happens a lot

Trademark infringement in China is a joke.

You can buy EXACT copies of shoes. Exact logos, but spelled MIKE (pronounced mikey, of course), LIKE (likey), BIKE and so on.

EXACT copies of electronic stuff. PALASONIC, PANSONIC, PAMASONIC, PANASOMIC, and so on. EXACT copy of the logos, just slightly different spelling.

SUNY, SOMY, SANY. We would go thru the markets and laugh our a$$ off at the names.

Every once in a while, the Chinese would announce (proudly) that they had busted a big counterfeit ring.

A big media event (usually attended by visiting US dignitaries, Diane Feinstein was one I witnessed) was then scheduled, and they would pile all the stuff they had 'confiscated' (stuff that they could not sell usually) in the middle of the street, and bulldoze it.

What a croq.

They mock us for keeping them from getting MFN status.

Clinton relented after they promised to reform their enforcement of 'intellectual property rights'. Yep, a week later, the same stuff was back, but cost more now.

I hope they are selling (counterfeit) copies of his book like crazy.

I'd bet, they even have (counterfeit) autographed ones as well.

CJ -- Thanks for the helpful labels.

Doing just about any commercial investment in China is a scary prospect, regardless of who you are b/c you're always, directly or not-very-indirectly dealing with the state.

"OK, so you're Microsoft -- we're CHINA, and you'll play in our courts." That's an advantageous bargaining position to be in.

lmao. I had the privilege of doing (and finding) the same in Hong Kong, Taiwan (not quite so blatant), and South Korea. it was hilarious nonetheless. the only problem was sometimes trying to tell the fake from the real, as they were using the actual names in many instances. I actually chose not to buy any name-brand items there even though they were cheaper simply because I didn't want to end up with really good ripoffs (and they are getting quite good!)

In HK, if you're having a suit tailor made, perfectly fitted for a 1/5th of the price of an off-the-rack suit, not only will it be an exact copy of whatever is in the stores that season (very well made by a skilled tailor too) but for a little more, someone will go to Saks etc. and cut off the original labels and put them on your suit. (I've been told )

I wish the headlights were more upright, making the fenders/wings more pronounced. At least up to 993's level, better yet, somewhere between 964 and 993. With that "flat hood" it's losing it's 911-ness. All that's left is that "hunchback" rear, but there's nothing in the front that could complement the silhouette. Guess it could be worse....
