The Ferrari 275 GTB

Video of Ferrari in Paris:

Wikipedia on the subject:

Hate to break it to you but that was not a ferrari but a Mercedes 450 SEL 6.9 used to film the run through the paris streets.

That's what Wilkipedia leans towards - see link which was provided, guess we will never know for sure.

Recent claims made by the director himself, however, suggest he drove his own Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 in the film and dubbed the sound effects of a Ferrari 275GTB. Several independent groups have verified that the car in the film never reaches past 140 km/h (85mph)
Some people think the sound was added in afterwords in either case.

Check out this Google Map & Video Mash Up version.

http://bhendrix.com/wall/Gmaps_GVideo_Mashup_Rendezvous.html

I am more impressed with the video knowing it's a Mercedes not the Ferrari. At a few points the speeds don't seem right; rumor is they sped up parts of the video.

I've never heard a Mercedes theory, where did you hear that? It doesn't sound like a Benz...

No the audio and speed of video dont match.

it also says at end of video remastered, so, they probably redid the audio..

also, this was a Film short, not just a fast run. at end, a woman walks up steps into the arms of driver, so its choreographed.

you can confirm the distance traveled on the map and you will see dude wasnt going 145MPH at any time.

never the less, Well done!

The Ferrari forum guys have know for a long time that its not a F-car. Those guys have studied it frame by frame just like we would do if it was said to be a P-car.

a few pics from the Dallas Guitar show this weekend.....

here is Clapton's '64 ES-335 (The Crossroads Guitar) and his black strat. These are the actual guitars, not replicas or reissues.

And a couple of '59 bursts that were on display....

And the infamous Peter Green - Gary Moore '59 'burst. On public display for the last time.
