Pretty funny picture but why do I feel that there needs to be some explanation for that behavior as well as the hole in the jeans.

Is that a one-off custom?

A Karman Ghia with a 356 grafted on to the front?

The side vent is kind of cool too.

Do you think it's all fiberglass?

Taken on my way home from work yesterday. Scary part is that what you see in the photos is the back burn that was INTENTIONALLY set to reduce available fuels and protect the town and surrounding structures. The "real" fire is about 1.5 miles away.

I'm in the Wood River Valley - Sun Valley. The in-town picture is from downtown Ketchum. I'm not sure what things will be like by next month! Maybe it will all be gone! (unlikely). The mornings are VERY smokey, but by mid day, the wind usually has shifted and blows it out (somewhere else I presume). I can hear helicopters and big retardant planes non-stop, all day long from my office. They're working hard!

The Overloon Panther

There is a WWII museum in Holland in a town called Overloon, to commemorate some heavy fighting that went on there. I went there first in 1974 when I was 12. My parents took me and my best friend there after my unrelenting demands. Outside in their walk-through park was this Panther. My friend and I were photographed on it by my mother:

I had occasion to go back to Holland in 2001 and made it a point to return to Overloon. I found it little changed, but still well worth seeing. I didn't see the Panther outside, but when I inquired in the museum, I found it was currently under restoration; apparently slowly for lack of funds.

The gun and mantlet along with the roadwheels in the background. One of the exhaust pipes is leaning on the top of the mantlet:

The hull:

Random couple of cuties I saw on my last walk through the downtown area:

Which concert? Koln is a beautiful little city, I toured around there last year when I was in Frankfurt on business. Thats awesome that your kids get to have a multicultural childhood, it'll make them better citizens and better people.
