Yep. Created my first business plan when I was 9 (summer of '64). The plan was to buy the sub and charge for rides at the local swimming pool. Raised capital by washing cars. Got the capital and sent off for the sub...waited 8-months. In mid-January a package shows up. With great anticipation I slowly opened the box and...WTF! The sub was a cardboard box with crap painted on the sides. The periscope and torpedo tubes were toilet paper tubes. Water worthy? No Way!.... Man was I dissappointed.

Best $6.95 I ever spent. Learned a valuable lesson...read the fine print. Words like "play" and "imaginative" are very important.

The engine is not new to the market with millions having been installed in the Smart Car, manufactured by Mercedes in Europe and Canada for the past 5 years. The complete unit installed weighs in at 9 lbs less than a Rotax 912, and can put out between 40 and 64 DIESEL horsepower.

The Pelena Express vessel does have a propeller - but it's located inside a pipe inside the boat. A screen or trashrack stops logs & coconuts from hitting and damaging the propeller...................

Pelena Energy of Australia has developed technology for reliably operating diesel engines on coconut oil (CNO). It is planned that the vessel will be operating on a blend of diesel fuel and coconut oil in late 2006/early 2007, after business establishment, and later on pure coconut oil. The aim is to eliminate the copra processing in villages and instead produce oil directly at the village level. This will provide income for villagers and minimise the dependence of Solomon Islands on imported oil. Of course, the minimisation of Greenhouse-gas emissions are also significant.

Someone in the forum once said they did not like "wedge-shaped" cars (like the Lancia Stratos), looking at the Porsche 917 I'd say it's a wedge shaped car - the best.
