I'll sell him my car... Heck, for $200K I'll sell him BOTH my 911's!

Such a deal!

In the right hands, a Ferrari 360 can be a devastating weapon of mass destruction in the dating world. Is your friend a player like that? On the other hand (in case his genitals were burned off in a terrible Formula Mazda accident and henceforth doesn't gives a rat's arse about attracting and bagging the chickies), then a Mosler MT900 would be a unique and powerful street/track weapon.

$200K????

Well, if you have it, use it. But why spend it all in one place??

I would: pick up a barely used 360 spyder. $125K
find a sweet old 246 GTS $70K
Squeeze a 916 Ducati in for $8K
and with the last couple, pick up a neat old 60's Ducati for
runs into town for the paper Sat AMs. $3K

I would call it my "Italian period, early and late", and yes, my addition is bad and I streched the rules. Sorry!

I'd probably spend it in a couple of places as well. I think another friend's 360 Spider gave him the tickle. He may end up with that.

However, he said he was open......I'll talk to him later and get a progress report.

I'd build something with BB2's suspension, chass, brake and drivetrain upgrade, but with 935-esque bodywork. Then take the rest and buy a tow rig and trailer. What's left over could be used to outfit my shop.

The new ones are coming out in the spring. This the only sports car in recent years that I really like from a stylistic point of view. It actually has angles! I'm not much of a fan of the rounded bubble car trend that is so popular right now.

Generally I don't like retro-mobiles either, but this GT40 is an exception.

Any word on cost or proposed cost?

thamlin000 09-25-2003 06:16 PM

I've heard $100k. Take that with a grain of salt though.

Either way dealer mark up should be about $50k the first year, I'd guess. All the rich folks will fight to get the first ones.

Gee..200K...I "might" be tempted to sell. Then, what would I buy? Probably something made by Ford, Chevvy, or Mopar...For EFFFING sure, not a Cayenne...;)
