Need help with viewing/posting pics using Netscape Navigator

When I try to post a picture while i'm using Netscape Navigator...they only show-up as icons. Some of the pictures people post show up but most of them are just the icons.

Does anyone know what settings I need to do to make them all be visible?

(I used to use Internet Explorer and that worked fine until all those email viruses a few months back...it has been messed up ever since).

Thank you for any help! S~

I stopped using Netscape Navigator back when AOL bought them. (AOL software IS a virus, IMO . . .their software intensionally does what you describe, as it saves on bandwidth)

There are other browsers out there. I'll let those experts fill you in on Mozzila, or. . .?

I wondered if it just wasn't possible to change the settings. It was very easy to find "internet options" and make adjustments in Internet Explorer when it was working...but it will be awhile until our computer guy comes back in to make some fixes.

I might just have to post pics from home even though that takes forever but atleast it still works there.

Here is a test.

Ok...now I have no idea how this just happened..but this picture actually showed up in "preview." This was not taken from my camera...my girlfriend just emailed me this pic she took of me coming to pick her up downtown) so now I'm confused as to why this worked. The filename has letters & a number all together.

Let's try a dog pic....

This picture shows as an icon. It was downloaded from my camera & emailed to work & the file name does have a space.

Now lets try it if I take out the space in the filename.

OMG...it worked. So it was my fault in how I was naming my pics. Thanks so much everyone!!!!! I knew there would be a Pelican who could help me.

Bill...the version is 4.75...I know there are more current versions..but I'm kind of shy of doing anything to my computer since my system was having so many problems.

Do you think the reason I can't see some of the pics in other posts is because their file name has an odd character or spacing??

I have IE 5.0 but that is the one that is messed-up for some reason. When I try to look at Pelican using it, it goes way way too slow and won't let me even post a pic.

I could try to download the newer version of netscape and see what happens. Or that mozilla one you guys mentioned. The computer guy might get mad at me though...oh well...i'll probably give it a try anyway.
