911 Spotted On The Matrix!!!

Hey Gang,

Just caught the worldwide premier of the Matrix. Wow... There's an early S in it!!!

I think it's a SWB as it seems to have the early tailights where the glass is sorta clear vs. frosted.... And it has got the S rear bumpers with rubber guards.

Woo hoo! Made my day! Or should I say night. I caught the show at 10pm, Singapore time.

Anyone else saw it?

Sprint.

I heard the movie was as bad as the second. NYTimes gave it 2 stars. What did you think? I'm gonna see it tommorrow.

I'll wait till it's in the dollar theatre. The Wackoszawaki brothers fooled me once with Matrix 2. That's not gonna happen again.

It is a plot-free swirl of action. Mindless drivel. Can't really remember anything memorable besides the 911 and a bunch of special effects. Catch it on cable.

There is a Porsche in the first one as well. I think they're going to the the Oracle and from inside the car you can see a black fuch out the window as the car drives past a silver 924 or 944.

Ditto. They are milking what was a decent idea that could have been a great movie series for all it is worth. It is obvious they are all very tired of the beast they have created.

But a 911 -- that's pretty cool! And there is a nice little GTV in an ad I saw recently for some portable music (iPod?) item. He drives that bad boy right into the office. Wouldn't you LOVE to be able to do that?

Saw it a couple of hours ago...team building thing with the employees...yeah that's it....

Actually, it was slightly better than the second, but only slightly. Left me with more questions than answers, lame ending. "Is that it...?" kinda ending.

Actually, there's a room full of automotive beauty in the scene with the early 911. Jag, Merc, and a recent P-car. Couldn't tell which one as the guy next to me started nudging me asking "is that Porsche like you got?"

Look carefully.....

it was 50 cent

50 cent is the one who robs the 993 turbo out of the exotic car shop. i think it's dope what the lady who is helping him says about the car when he is lookind at it. she refers to the car's "classic design". note that they didn't use a 996 for that one. i thought that it was pretty accurate until you see 50 start the car with his right hand.

db

oh yeah, to stay on topic, matrix is bound to suck. content takes back seat to fx.

I must add my voice on this one I happen to like the Matrix , Matrix Reloaded and will go see "Revolution". I have talked with several people who have seen the Matrix and had no clue to what the movie was about. Unfortunately I did not notice any 911's in the film.

Hardly. You'll rarely meet a bigger sci-fi nerd than I.

Here's one reason I hated Matrix 2: NEO'S ASS! I mean, really, Carrie-Ann Moss is gettin' a little wrinkly but I'd sure as hell rather see her in the buff than Mr. NoTalent.

Here's another: no plot.

Here's another: BS pseudo-science-babble about causality etc.

Here's another: NEO'S ASS!

Matrix 2 was good, not great, but good. Sometimes it's nice to be able to suspend the mind and just enjoy bright flashy colors, fantasy, and noise.

I also had some employee bonding and went to catch the opening with a large group of coworkers. We had a LONG lunch and being their boss validated the "field trip". One of my guys stood in line for three hours and duck taped off a row of 16 seats. I now found a new use for duck tape.

I'm sure there will be many folks on both sides of the fence; however, I personally enjoyed the movie. The ending left me with several questions; however, I think the director left the ending up for some interpretation (OR another Matrix, "unloaded" maybe). It's got plenty of action, decent women in leather, and a Porsche 911. What else does a guy need in 2 hours of entertainment. It was well worth the time and money...in this "ones" personally opinion anyway. Okay, okay...I'm not "the one"...but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night.

oh, the second one wasn't so bad. my only real beef was that they're all dressed to the nines while inside the matrix, but they mysteriously seem to lose their collective fashion sense as soon as they unplug. what's with that goofy tribal $hit on zion anyway? give me a damned break. if they can afford transparent computers, they sure as hell should be able to get some armani hooked up. sheesh. otherwise, my argument has been that it is unfair to really judge it as a stand-alone film since it was clearly written to be only part of an over-arching narrative. i'm still stubbornly hoping against hope that it will be a fluid masterpiece when viewed in one sitting.

edit: me no spell right. oh and carrie anne moss is a severe hottie with or without those wrinkles

just got back from seeng it. i heard there was an early 911 in it, but was dissaponted that it was only in it for a few seconds. well, i guess thats better than having it get blown up in a chase scene...
oh, it needed more/better fight scenes! i like the 1st matrix fight scenes, the 2nd's car chase, but the whole machine war in the 3rd wasn't quite as thrillng to me
