I think you are a good and funny guy Frank, and I assure you that I get your sence of hummor. I respect the fact that you are not a bruised peach and can deal well with a bit of teasing. It makes the world a better place. And yes I will still give you advice with your car.

Unbelievable - FrankB shows up and makes fun of fat people, bald people, and people with the last name of Blair. What's the matter, did you foget to make fun of white beards too?

Signed: Fat, Bald, White Beard, Blair

P.S. - glad to see you haven't lost any of your vineger while recoping.

Dark Skies 11-10-2003 10:16 AM

It's okay to insult the name of Blair - I feel compelled to do it non-stop. In Scottish Blair means smarmy, lying wanker.

fty 11-10-2003 11:29 AM

(insert accent of choice) Great SCOTT...........................

FRwilk-Dont you mean vegitarian? ;)

Frank B 11-10-2003 11:37 AM

Hey Wilke,
hehe.. I have a YETI mountain bike. It's a 1992-93 Pro F.R.O. it's a steel uber machine. Very fast downhill, uphill and on singletrack. I used to race pro-elite years ago and have started riding again, I may decide to race next year if I feel up to it. As a fun thing, I have a few 24 hour races that I'm signed on to do next summer, that's serious fun.

Ronin I haven't been to a porsche swap meet yet, but I've been to a slew of Mustang swap meets with my Uncle Mike (my fathers Brother) in California. When I go out there to Visit him I always go to a swap meet, or we hit the junk yards and I wind up crawling under nearly every frigging car looking for parts.
I've been his gofer in the junk yards since I was 10 years old. It's fun, reminds me of my youth. As far as silly behavior at swap meets, well, I've been known toget into bidding wars with crotchety old men about just about anything that I'm not gonna buy, which inevitably will draw a huge crowd because some old man is barking at some young guy because he (I) drove the price up ridiculously. Mommies hitting on me infront of their beer guzzling trailer trash Husbands. Fork lift drag racing...you can even buy fireworks at some of these events, which results in dumpster fires for the most part. Dwarf tosses... it's all fun Ronin..

LOL, sounds like a real slice of Americana. but how do you get out of having to buy the stuff?? by trading those women's phone numbers? :D

DARK SKIES -

I hate to quote your own countries history to you, but apparently you are lacking in your knowledge.

Brief History of the Blair Family

The ancient family, Blair of Blair, in the shires of Renfrew, Ayr & Wigtown may or may not be related to the Blairs of Balthayock in the shires of Perth, Fife & Angus. Both are quite old in Scotland. The two competed for the chiefship for many years until James VI is said to have decreed that, "The oldest man for the time being of either family should have precedence."

The term "Blair" is the genitive of a gaelic word, "Blar" meaning field or battle field. It is used widely for both places and surnames, one of the earliest known for the former being the Barony of Blair in Ayrshire granted by King William in the mid-12th century. An example of the latter is Sir Robert de Blair, Norman Knight. Sir Bryce Blair was an adherent of Sir William Wallace but was executed by the English at the Barns of Ayr in 1296. His brother's son, Roger, was knighted by King Robert the Bruce for his services before & at Bannockburn. Blair House at Dalry, Ayrshire was occupied continuously by the family between 1202 and 1980.

While the name has been spelled 16 different ways, only 3 survive today: Blair, McBlair, Bleher. The family has some 20 Coats of Arms, 4 Tartans: Ancient, Modern, Dress & Logie. A Clan Blair Society - North America, raised November 1987, operates the Blair family Genealogical Lending Library & the computerized Blair Lineage Matching System for the benefit of Blairs everywhere.

"I hate to quote your own countries history to you, but apparently you are lacking in your knowledge."

No worries - it's not my country I can be forgiven for being less informed about Scotland.

In any event history is a continually progressive thing, as is language.

Today the name Blair is synonymous with corruption, deceit, superficiality, incompetence, lying, spin, manipulation, state conivance, interference, abuse of civil liberties, backhanders, jobs for the boys, lack of accountability, selling out our country all wrapped in self-rightous smugness.

If your name is Blair I'm sorry for any offence. I'm sorry also that our Prime Minister has soiled your family name.

Oh, he doesn't make a difference - he's too incompetent for that.

Hang about. Lack of faith with the Government, deep discontent, poor policing, high crime rates, hugely unpopular illigal immigrants, failing health service, the increasing popularity of an extremist far right group ... where has that led to in the past?

Maybe Tony has made a difference.

ronin 11-11-2003 01:45 PM

so you're telling me that all of those factors were par for the course?? well then what's the worry :D

Dark Skies 11-11-2003 01:52 PM

History isn't properly taught in British schools these days so I guess we're doomed to a rerun.

ronin 11-11-2003 01:54 PM

yep, "those who do not learn..."

What's with the Mockery darkskies?
You don't seem to enjoy American humor, also, you don't quite understand how we talk.
Heh?.. what are you implying? what's your problem with American humor or conversation? I've been receiving e-mails from others on this board regarding your Very Anti-American remarks... are you here just to be controversial? or are you some sort of *****head looking for a rouse from someone....whatever your problem is, I personally don't appreciate your anti-American remarks and comments and I am asking you to stop.

Thanks for your consideration,
Frank B
