Vanishing Point

Starring Barry Newman, is one of the best car movies ever. Its on the Family Channel right now. Barry just ran the Jag off the road with his white Challenger... at least he went back to see if the guy was ok.

They should remake this movie with a guy driving a 930.

...and Kowalski was too focused to hit it with her... or maybe he was just too hopped up on the speed.:

Great soundtrack to the movie. They just dont make those kinda gritty films these days...

Wonder how much that Mopar (a 427 Hemi, I believe) would be worth today?

ehhhh...It wasn't a 426 Hemi car...they used quiet a few cars in the filming of the movie....383's and 440's. You know sometimes it's a good thing to be on you know whose ignore list...

When I first saw the movie I thought it was kinda good but after reseeing....eeeennnnn

PS. If I had one of those cars to own today it would be a 383 Magmum. Produces enough HP and torque yet the car is reasonably well balanced. At one time I owned a 440 Six Pack..a 440 ci with 3, 2 barrel Holleys. Either you were putting along or you were being launched when the 2 outboard Holleys kicked in. Thus the car was really no fun to drive.

Early Porsches pre 1973's are were alot more fun to drive. While they didn't have the get up to go like the Detroit Iron once they are running they are alot more nimble. Quiet like a Go-Kart...maybe thats why I love them so much.
