Tabs on the Early 911S Registry:
"The whole purpose of what I do is entertainment, and should be taken as such."

I have to hand it to you Tabs, you have succeeded in that respect. Both there and here.

What's that old saying about style without substance?

Schrup 11-14-2003 07:23 PM

Sweet dude, you got skills. Wish I could rent space in that many heads.

BlueSkyJaunte 11-14-2003 08:04 PM

Too funny.

Everyone's so damn serious these days. People shouldn't take life so seriously. You still end up dead!

Doug Zielke 11-15-2003 06:55 AM

tabs....I could care less about the Early whatever board; why should you?

Stick around here, where many of us appreciate your wit (although we may not always agree with your commentary).

yea.........just because we don't like you doesn't mean we don't enjoy dishing out cheap shots at your bantering :D
just remember.......

I believe the term is "Lighten up, Francis."

The world is a crazy, wacky place, filled with a colorful cast of characters yearning to breathe free and taste the joy of unfettered speech..

Oh wait...no, that's my underwear, not the world. Sorry about the confusion. Move along...nothing to see here.

Exactly, Tabs. I'm even more amused by the responses to your "distructive speach" [sic] (i.e. "We should force him to sell his '69S"!!.... ) than your comments themselves.

Carry on, Sgt. Hulka.

You might say I am a tour guide, I show them the path...but they lead themselves down it all by themselves..

BlueSkyJaunte 11-15-2003 09:52 AM

What's the old saying?

"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him do the backstroke."

nostatic 11-15-2003 10:05 AM

no, it's:

"you can lead a horse to water, but if you shoot him he can't drink it. Now if you led your mother in law to water and shot her, now that would be productive. But illegal. Then the cops would show up, and you'd have to explain the dead mother in law *and* the dead horse. And say one of the cops belongs to PETA. Well, odds are he pulls out his Glock and shoots you right there on the spot.

So you can lead a horse to water, but you'll only die in the end."

Banning someone from a BB is almost always a bad idea. I have seen it done elsewhere, and never with happy results, only lasting acrimony between those who remain. If you don't like someone's posts, don't read them. I recall hearing at a management orientation program: "remember that a difficult person is a person in pain."
I have noticed that some at Pelican are very quick to respond to real or perceived slights, and some never respond at all to even the most egregious insults. Voltaire once said:" I have only ever had but one wish to God: make my critics look ridiculous; and God granted it."
Speaking of people in pain, whatever happened to BigBPainta?

BlueSkyJaunte 11-15-2003 11:05 AM

John C, I think you hit it on the head!

Frightening that I just learned something from a management seminar. I had always thought those were just group rates on lobotomies. ;)

WOODPIE 11-15-2003 05:14 PM

No, it's:

"you can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her appreciate the symphony"

Painta and I had our go arounds on the other Board. I always did wonder what happeened to him?

tchanson 11-15-2003 07:08 PM

Who knew?

Actually, I heard he came to terms with the "compensation" issues and opened a tasteful and quaint (although reasonably priced) B&B in upstate NY...

I thought there were some issues with his life partner though, because he didn't want to move to Vermont...
