You guys back east think you have problems? We had the fires in October, and now the hillsides are fairly bare. Now comes the usual December-January rains. Mudslide time. Talk about the ground slipping beneath your feet (and house ).

that snow story reminds me of the eight years I lived in Southcentral Alaska. I grew to literally HATE the damn snowplow drivers. I swear, I was plotting how to destroy that SOB! You just gotta be there and have the plow fill your drivway after just clearing it, for the twentieth time.

Here, it just rains...

Snow plough drivers
Not forgetting when they scrape up all the tarmac creating work for their pals and relatives with road repair contracts.
Not forgetting when they're careful and leave a big layer of snow, which is melted by passing cars and freezes into an icerink overnight. Not forgetting when they rip into the sides of cars by accident (coincidence: they belong to those who complain about their performance). Not forgetting when they should be on stand-by in case of snow and they can't be found.

Sounds like Milu's home. With the proviso that he's allowed to leave the party to watch repeats of the X-Files and Highlander
