Which anti-virus software?
So, is Norton/Symantec pretty much the way to go here? Or are there better options out there (less "intrusive" and/or CPU-hungry)? Anything specific for Wi-Fi applications (besides WEP encryption)? Thanks.

Your kinda talking two topics there...anti-virus is one, wireless security is another.
Macafee is a less expensive alternative to Symantec, I don't know how they rate on system demands. Zone Labs makes a great software firewall that you can download and use (the basic version) for free. For the Wi-Fi, use the 128 bit encryption unless you want someone freeloading on your bandwidth. Virus dissemination via wi-fi? Haven't heard of that yet, but there's probably something out there I dont know about yet....
