If you wana keep Sports from being corrupt and keep the games honest....NO PETE ROSE.
If you give him a pass, and let him back in, even into the Hall of Fame...No won't mean no anymore...within 20 years Proffessional Sports will be like Wrestling...FIXED. So go ahead and let him back in. Remember the Black Sox and the World Series of 1919. they cleaned house and Baseball has done well, if you let the crooks back in....it's just a matter of time..on the slippery slope. |

OJ is a murderer...but he didn't bet on his games, so it's ok for him to be in the hall of fame. You like that, he was in the hall of fame before he killed those squirels.
I suspected that the officiating at the last Stupid Bowl was a little off. Nothing to change the outcome of the game just enough to keep it from being a blowout which would reduce ratings. And we are being cynical again Nostatus... A clean game keeps ratings high...suspicion of cheating turns people off...why not just watch Roller Derby...the T-Birds allways won.

If you do wrong and get caught, you pay the price for your actions. If you don't get caught, count your blessings. Petey did wrong, got caught, has been paying the price, but now wants to make some $$$ off his book about it and get a pass to let him into Cooperstown. Just say, NO.

He put himself above baseball; lied about it and is coming clean only to try to establish a legacy.
He is completely remorseless and I have no sympathy for him. He stays out now and forever as a head on a pike to other athletes that forget that they need the game more than the game needs them. JP

Penalties for cheating need to be severe...like voiding a 20 million $$$ contract if the guy gets caught, and kicking him out of the sport. But on the other hand if the guy commits a murder or rape give him a bonus, he's shows real competitivness...

News anchors are pretty much resolved that he should not be admitted to the Hall of Fame.
CNN's Aaron Brown has ludicrously laughed nightly since Rose's admission. He's all but called the man a liar on nat'l tv. I haven't seen what ESPN or Fox Sports has to say about it.
