So the Yankees pitching staff is in Houston now. Anyone could realistically take the AL East (except Tampa, of course). The Marlins had a fire-sale despite assurances that they wouldn't. The Red Sox added pitching to their devastating offense. Pete Rose is lobbying for the Hall. Vlad the Impaler is an Angel now. The Yankees traded their ace pitching for awesome offense. Mo Vaughn is taking a year off to "get back in shape".

It's gonna be an interesting year for baseball, ladies and gents.

Well, BlueSky, I think we would have an interesting discussion on world politics (I took several courses in Marxism, Communism, and Socialist Russia... three terms that are most definitely NOT interchangable, despite popular opinion)... but it does seem somewhat troll-like to come into a baseball thread and diss baseball. PS I once got in an argument with a bloke who was convinced that it was OK for the Arizona Cardinals to be named after a bird that is seen more frequently in New Jersey than in AZ. Now, if they'd changed their name to the Arizona We've-got-sand-in-our-drawers-that's-why-we-can't-win-any-games, I'd have no issue with it.
